Introduction

In our exhibitions, Ippodo introduces artwork of high quality, including painting, sculpture, woodcraft, pottery, textile, and glass-work, created by torchbearers of the Japanese art and culture, which is to be transmitted to the next generation, to emphasize their grace and universality.


The Japanese sense of beauty, sensibility, delicate and tender handwork: we would like you toshare these ideas and to feel at ease in our exhibitions.

Ippodo Gallery is located in the New Takanawa Prince Hotel. However, the entrance is on the Zakuro-zaka Street. Please understand that there is no passageway inside from the hotel.

From the Takanawa exit, JR Shinagawa station, accross the pedestrian crossing to the Wing Takanawa Shopping Mall. Go straight & keep right about 50m on the Zakuro-zaka Street. Go downstairs at the signboard "Gallery Ippodo". It takes about five minutes to walk.
