Dolls of Ippodo Selection are icons or buddha statues rather than children's toys. They express beauty of Japanese culture. Making dolls is considered as a sacred activity. Their faces are reflection of creators, their way of thinking, talking and living. This requires doll makers clarity and strong will to face this sacred process. In this exhibition, Ippodo presents miniature dolls titled "Takasago" by Hayashi Komao, living national treasure, Gosho doll by Fujita Michiko, Ichimatsu doll by Nakata Kumi, as well as beautiful dolls and toys by Narita Junko, Yoshino Koho, Mori Suifu, etc.
