The Theme for 2009 is "Moon and Light". From ancient days up to present, Japanese admire moon in the pitch black night sky and express gratitude for beautiful seasonal flowers and good harvest.

Japan culture has long become popular again even among Japanese young pople. Partiucularly, young male people are "coming back" from golf courses for entertainment to "Cha no Yu" - tea ceremony as they find tradition in tea ceremony anew.
Moon and its light, as we are attracted by Moonlight Sonata of Beethoven and Clair de lune by Debussy, empower us throughout time and place. For this special exhibition, more then 20 artists whom Ippodo has very close contact with created adorable ceremony ware.
