| Ginza Ippodo Salon is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of potteries by Kai Tsujimura, from Wednesday, June 2, to Saturday, June 12, 2010
Kai Tsujimura initially studied under his father, the worldly famed potter Shiro Tsujimura, and embarked on an independent career. He studied severity of work, joy of creation, and unrestrained enthusiasm for art from his great father. Constantly surrounded by masterpieces from childhood, the potter improved his aesthetics and like his father, he handles potter wheel every day and creates numerous works from a small tunnel kiln.
Potteries by Kai Tsujimura reflect the potter's strong will and the youthful but mature, noble and beautiful forms indicate his great talent.
From the Hills of Nara, 200 youthful works including natural-glazed Iga ware; white-slip kohiki; and Karatsu ware are to be presented at Ginza Ippodo Gallery.
