The Exhibition of Stone Sculptures by Atsuya Tominaga

After he graduated from college, Atsuya Tominaga carved Nose black granite at quarry for 10 years. He also learned sculpting travertine in Pietrasanta of Italy and worked on limestone near the cave of Lascaux in France.

He says that he would like to work on various kinds of stones in various parts of the world carrying a chisel with him. He could be considered as Enku (1932-1995 a buddist monk) of the present era.

In this exhibition, new works matching with his past masterpiece "Shinpan no Fune (Boat of Judgement)" created in 1993.

1997 Received a grant from Pola Art Foundation to stay in Italy for one year.
