I still remember how deeply impressed I was twenty years ago when I saw Crivelli's 'Madonna and Child' at the New York Metropolitan Museum. It was a pleasure that Ippodo provided me with a chance to hold two solo exhibitions of my own in New York and Gotenyama at the same time. I continue to create simple, natural expressions in my work and I hope that as many people as possible will take this opportunity to come and see them. Yoko Semoto

Ippodo Gallery is honored to present Le Petite Galarie d'art de Yoko Semoto at our Gotenyama gallery in this cherry brossom season. Gotenyama Ippodo Gallery with glass-walls stands on the Hara Museum Street, ten minute walk from the Shinagawa Station.

Selected pieces are to be presented in this exhibition. We are pleased to celebrate the artist, who has focused her 80 years life on paintings in tempera on gold back grounds.
