Ginza Ippodo Salon is honored to present an exhibition of Obi (kimono belt) by Kondaya Genbei, a Kyoto-based 272-year-old company specializing in the production of Kimono and Obi belt.
With traditional and refined techniques of weaving and dyeing textiles, Kondaya has kept pursuing production of new Obi belts. The Obi belts produced by Kondaya are assimilation of the most traditional Kimono culture and new sense of value on our time.
Silk Obi belts of luxurious qualities are to be presented at this exhibition.

held an exhibition gKaguya kono Mayu, Koishimaruh at Sogetu Kaikan, Tokyo.Awarded the Nikkei superior prize for this exhibition.Engaged inrevival and sustainment of Japanese original Koishimaru, and invigoration of Japanese original craftsmanship of dyeing and weaving. |

held a group exhibition gNoh wo Oru (Weaving Noh)h at the Koseiin, Kyoto, with Keikichi Harada (a computer graphic artist) and Hosomi Museum of Art individual collection. |
